Paolo Loffredo, sixth generation of a large family of publishers and booksellers engaged in the production and distribution of books since the late nineteenth century, creates in 2012 the new editorial company Paolo Loffredo Editore. Il racconto della malattia
Atti delle sessioni parallele del convegno internazionale di studi il racconto della malattia (l’aquila, 19-21 febbraio 2020)

The volume collects contributions from researchers in italian and european universities who took part in the international convention Il racconto della malattia, which took place in l’Aquila in february 2020, right before the diffusion of the pandemic from Covid-19.
The pages of this book contain a diachronic representation of the narration of illness in our literature, from the beginning to contemporaneity. The thematic complexity of the contributions helps to find the boundaries of a “genre map”, essential to examine a literary reality, often wrongly assimilated to narrative medicine, which obviously is a different genre, way less considered in italian literature.
