Paolo Loffredo, sesta generazione di una numerosa famiglia di editori e librai impegnata dalla fine dell'Ottocento nella produzione e diffusione di libri, nel 2012 crea la nuova sigla editoriale Paolo Loffredo Editore. La sede storica è stata fino agli anni '80 nel cuore del centro storico di Napoli in via San Biagio dei Librai, Decumano inferiore e nota anche con il nome di SpaccaNapoli. Giuseppe Loffredo decide poi a inizio Novecento di affiancare alla vendita dei libri la produzione editoriale, che si afferma definitivamente nel secondo dopoguerra con la pubblicazione di manuali per l’Università e per la Scuola che riescono ad imporsi presto in tutta Italia.
