Il disincanto degli ultimi uomini del '900

An era, my generation, has objectively come to an end.
I have no intention of falling into banality such as decanting the glories of an (imaginary) past, the result of sadness and sometimes regret, that advanced age brings. I am not pervaded by the conviction that the past times are better than the present ones. But I acknowledge that I no longer have the tools to understand the dynamics underway in 21st century societies. I would discourage a young person belonging to "Generation Z" from asking ourselves what the world will be like in 2050. There are fewer and fewer of us, friends and the solidarity of lifelong companions are lacking. Alone in an unknown world.
Edgar Morin shows us "a way" of salvation that he defines as "New Humanism". Transforming the human species into humanity. Reform thinking, the way of consuming, feeding, trading by making globalization and territoriality coexist; globalization and local cultures. At stake is the survival of mankind.

Author

Carmine Scafa (Torre Annunziata 1955), engineer, was a manager of the Finmeccanica group. He has lived in France and the United States for work reasons. Today he is the sole director of S.E.Te.S. which provides technological services to companies in the aerospace and defense sector. An expert in aeronautical regulation, he is an Italian member in various international civil and military aerospace regulatory contexts. He edits a weekly column on geopolitics and culture, live on the main social networks and "Youtube" channels. Convinced supporter of critical thinking, inspired by the "New Humanism" of the French philosopher Edgar Morin, with his books he searches for the map of places and times in which to be able to find himself first of all, through the memory of the emotions experienced.
He has two sons:
Chiara (Surgeon – Psychotherapist)
Giorgio (Biotechnologist – Graduating in Medicine)
