Francesca De Cesare
Encarnación Hidalgo Tenorio works as a Senior Lecturer in English Linguistics at the University of Granada
(Spain); there she has been teaching undergraduate and master courses since 1993. Her field of expertise is
Corpus-based Critical Discourse Analysis, where she focuses on notions such as representation and power enactment as manifested mainly in public discourse. She has published extensively on language and gender, and has also analyzed the way identity can be discursively constructed in different types of texts, especially theatre, and newspaper and political discourse; for such a purpose, she has carried out SFG-based and metaphor-based analyses, also adopting a pragmatics approach in her publications. She is now involved in several funded projects on language and emotion, forensic linguistics and NL processing.
