Paolo Loffredo, sixth generation of a large family of publishers and booksellers engaged in the production and distribution of books since the late nineteenth century, creates in 2012 the new editorial company Paolo Loffredo Editore. The historical site was until the '80s in the heart of the historic centre of Naples in Via San Biagio dei Librai, lower Decumano and also known as the SpaccaNapoli.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, Giuseppe Loffredo decided to add book selling to the book production, which definitively imposed itself after World War II with the publication of manuals for the University and for the School that succeeded in establishing themselves soon throughout Italy.

Description
Il Rinascimento del Cenacolo di Costanza d’Avalos, principessa di Francavilla
NEW EDITION
The book presents the synthesis of a long research journey carried out by the Le Franche Villanesi Cultural Association on Costanza d'Avalos. Along this path we have not only returned to reflecting on the 'female Renaissance' and the role that d'Avalos had in it, thanks to the participation of many scholars whose interventions are published here, but we have also activated a series of projects such as the twinning between Ischia and Francavilla and that between the middle schools of the two cities.
“Today, to us who seek answers to the eternal questions about the meaning of life on this earth, an indication comes from Costanza and her time of how not to derogate from the commitment that is asked of every man, of every woman in every era and in every part of the world, to protect the heritage of culture and beauty that every generation has the obligation to pass on. Costanza's spirit has infused new energy into our association.
We look with different eyes at the places of life, the native countries, the important cities of beautiful Italy, our Francavilla, aware that over the centuries they have hosted intelligences and sensibilities fundamental for an extraordinary cultural adventure. The only one that fuels dreams and hopes of evolution, despite the dark moments we are experiencing. We will resist, to tell the new generations about the irrepressible beauty that has descended abundantly into our DNA, a heritage that informs every current human competence, demanding, with a voice that transcends the centuries, to be preserved and transmitted".
