Paolo Loffredo, sixth generation of a large family of publishers and booksellers engaged in the production and distribution of books since the late nineteenth century, creates in 2012 the new editorial company Paolo Loffredo Editore. The historical site was until the '80s in the heart of the historic centre of Naples in Via San Biagio dei Librai, lower Decumano and also known as the SpaccaNapoli.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, Giuseppe Loffredo decided to add book selling to the book production, which definitively imposed itself after World War II with the publication of manuals for the University and for the School that succeeded in establishing themselves soon throughout Italy.

Description
Anche le stelle piangono. Storia della normativa sull’handicap
The volume gathers together the most significant legislation concerning the support to students in a situation of disability issued in our country from the beginning of the 20th century up to the present day, with reference also to that produced by the main international organizations. By sanctioning the abolition of segregating and humiliating special schools and providing for the integration of disabled pupils into the common classes, Italian legislation has placed itself at the forefront of Europe and perhaps in the world, becoming a point of reference for other states. Disability is a complex problem that has numerous valences, a world that generates particular and varied states of mind: disbelief, tension, anger, suffering. How many tears the parents of these children secretly pour into the silence of their homes for their most unfortunate children, how many thoughts, how many worries, how much suffering! The present work aims to be an instrument of knowledge and help for these parents, who see their creatures wounded by an adverse destiny, sometimes evil, and for teachers, especially supporters, called to perform a noble and delicate work aimed at to stimulate and enrich the development of the personality of their students, to favor their autonomy and the ability to make informed and prudent choices. It is therefore an aid and support to families and school operators, so that together they can build individualized and personalized learning paths that take into maximum consideration the psycho-socio-cultural characteristics of these children, facilitating the creation of a valid and rich project of life for each of them.
