Paolo Loffredo, sixth generation of a large family of publishers and booksellers engaged in the production and distribution of books since the late nineteenth century, creates in 2012 the new editorial company Paolo Loffredo Editore. The historical site was until the '80s in the heart of the historic centre of Naples in Via San Biagio dei Librai, lower Decumano and also known as the SpaccaNapoli.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, Giuseppe Loffredo decided to add book selling to the book production, which definitively imposed itself after World War II with the publication of manuals for the University and for the School that succeeded in establishing themselves soon throughout Italy.

Description
Per Giovanni Testori. Il teatro
Atti della giornata di studi all’Università Europea di Roma (16 novembre 2023)
The analysis of the deforming force of Giovanni Testori's theatrical language (Silvia Lilli), anticipated by the history of the composition and reception of Arialda (Silvia Zoppi Garampi), is followed by pairs of interventions focused on the iconographic suggestions in Testori's opera omnia (Carla Boroni) and, more specifically, in the collection Il sacro monte di Varallo (Paolo Talone), on the gap and novelty of Edipus compared to the Sophoclean model (Simone Flocco and Giuseppe Varone), on the hope and importance of the Master proposed by the comedy I promessi sposi alla prova (Andrea Rossi and Isabella Becherucci).
The oratory theatre of the last season is reread (Carlo Serafini) in conclusion of a volume that aims to be an in-depth study of some aspects of the Novatese theatre, enriched also by the particular testimony of the actors Andrea Soffiantini and Filippo Lai.
