Paolo Loffredo, sixth generation of a large family of publishers and booksellers engaged in the production and distribution of books since the late nineteenth century, creates in 2012 the new editorial company Paolo Loffredo Editore. The historical site was until the '80s in the heart of the historic centre of Naples in Via San Biagio dei Librai, lower Decumano and also known as the SpaccaNapoli.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, Giuseppe Loffredo decided to add book selling to the book production, which definitively imposed itself after World War II with the publication of manuals for the University and for the School that succeeded in establishing themselves soon throughout Italy.

Description
Il viaggiatore metaforico. L'odeporica contemporanea e la scrittura di viaggio nell' opera di Antonio Tabucchi
Travelling is an essential element in every human being’s cultural development, as it favors the encounter with diversity. But in an era such as the global one, in which the world seems to have become a monolithic spatial conglomerate and mass tourism substituted journeys, many wonder whether it is still possible to narrate space. Antonio Tabucchi takes part in this debate with some of his works, which are inspired to trips he did, but he puts them in a dimension which mixes reality and fiction. An example is Donna di Porto Pim. In this textual collage, the traveler fits in a world made of metaphors and becomes a metaphor himself. He represents a journey accomplished through literature, and what has actually been lived mixes with what has been read.
