Paolo Loffredo, sixth generation of a large family of publishers and booksellers engaged in the production and distribution of books since the late nineteenth century, creates in 2012 the new editorial company Paolo Loffredo Editore. The historical site was until the '80s in the heart of the historic centre of Naples in Via San Biagio dei Librai, lower Decumano and also known as the SpaccaNapoli.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, Giuseppe Loffredo decided to add book selling to the book production, which definitively imposed itself after World War II with the publication of manuals for the University and for the School that succeeded in establishing themselves soon throughout Italy.

Description
LA COSCIENZA DI ZENO
UN SECOLO DOPO
The authors of the fourteen essays in this volume, conceived for the occasion of the centenary of the first edition of the Conscience, did not intend the task from a merely celebratory perspective: the third novel by Italo Svevo, which has long been identified as one of the classics of Novecento, perhaps the most relevant narrative text of the Modernist season in Italy, no longer needs recognition from critics or the public. The idea was instead to share fourteen research experiences, the result of different instances and methodologies, but united by the intention of taking a further step forward in the knowledge of the novel from an interpretative, linguistic or comparative perspective, depending on the case. The plurality of methods and perspectives was further nourished by the point of view of interpreters who belong to different generations. Crossing their languages and their analyzes seemed like another way to restore the richness of the novel and explore the paths it still contains within its pages.
